“A nation without a past is a nation without a present or a future. Thanks to God, our nation has a flourishing civilization, deep-rooted in this land for many centuries. These roots will always flourish and bloom in the glorious present of our nation in its anticipated future.” → HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founding Father of the UAE.

The whole nation unites to celebrate the 52nd National Day of the UAE on December 2, 2023. Commonly known as 'Al-Eid Al Watani', UAE National Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the United Arab Emirates’ formal nationalisation. On this date, all seven Emirates—Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah—unified into one nation free from the British Protectorate Treaties. Dripping firework displays, elaborate parades, concerts, and glittering ceremonies are some of the beautiful experiences you’ll get on this day. If possible, arrange a UAE National Day yacht party in 2023 with D3 Yachts.

National day history

Celebrate UAE National Day 2023 by understanding the importance and history of the day. The occasion marks the formal nationalisation of the United Arab Emirates, which took place on December 2, 1971, when a British treaty came to an end. As a result, the sheikhdoms of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Al-Ain, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain in the erstwhile Trucial States were eventually federally united in 1971 to form the current nation. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan presided over the federation as its first leader.

The United Arab Emirates’ flag was also adopted on December 2nd, 1971, and hoisted by the first president to formally declare the establishment of the United Arab Emirates as an independent country. Later in February, Ras Al Khaimah made the decision to join and become the seventh emirate. Since then, UAE National Day has been celebrated in a riot of exuberant celebrations across the Gulf nation. To celebrate the occasion, hire a yacht charter in Dubai in 2023.
